Maverick Mill Limited is committed to processing personal information lawfully, fairly and transparently. We apply the UK GDPR principles of purpose limitation, data minimisation, accuracy, storage limitation, integrity, confidentiality and accountability to the information we handle.
Lawful processing
Before using personal information, we identify a lawful basis. Business enquiries and quotations will commonly rely on steps requested before a contract, contract performance or legitimate interests. Statutory records may be retained to meet legal obligations. Consent is used only where it is appropriate and can be withdrawn.
Individual rights
Individuals may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability. They may also have rights relating to automated decision-making. We do not use website enquiry data for solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.
Requests and identity checks
Requests can be sent to robert@maverickmill.co.uk or to our registered office. We may request proportionate evidence of identity and clarification where needed to locate the relevant information. We normally respond within the period required by applicable data-protection law.
Retention and disposal
Retention periods reflect the purpose of the record, contractual and tax requirements, possible disputes and the need to maintain reasonable business history. Records no longer required are securely deleted or anonymised where practical.
Security, processors and breaches
Access to personal information is limited to those who need it. Service providers acting as processors are selected and instructed appropriately. Suspected personal-data breaches are assessed, contained and documented, and will be reported to the ICO or affected individuals where the law requires it.
